UNHUMAN:
Alien Sand Creatures
Alien creatures
Came to Earth
To study human behavior,
And decide what human was.
They entered the ocean,
Rolled onto beaches
With billion-year-old sand
And plastic remnants
Of a throw-away society.
They took odd forms and
Evolved
Bejeweled
From the sea polluted.
Imagination
Found form and meaning
To throw back at humans,
For contemplation.
What does it mean to be human?
Who is unhuman?
They now give advice,
Observations, and questions
To hang on necks and walls.
